Ephesians 6:14-17 reads "Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

Concerns

Matthew 14:27

“But Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

Where are your main concerns? So many times we are concerned about the hustle and bustle that is going on around us. We put our main focus on worrying about family, work, our sports, someone who has hurt you, fiances, fear of the future, or even health related issues.

It seems so hard to put Jesus at the forefront of our life’s at times, but yet it is so easy to do so. When Jesus becomes our main concern we find strength in him, and do not worry about circumstances that are thrown our way. When we do not put Jesus at the front of our minds and concerns it is a totally different story. We then push God to the side, we become helpless, our life is like a whirlwind, and we have no guidance to direct our paths.

Today is an opportunity to make Jesus our main concern and priority. He wants to give you wisdom and understanding that you have never had before. Jesus wants to guide us every step of the way. He will give us space to make decisions, but we have to give Him space to move how He needs too.

Prayer: Father, let me get out of the way today. Move how you need to move in my heart and my mind. Give me courage to trust in you over my concerns and worries. I know I can worry about so many different things, but help me to trust in you and not be afraid. You are my God and I put my life in front of you right now. Jesus move in me. Help me to feel your touch and direction. In Jesus name. Amen.
