” 1 Follow God’s example in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, because that sacrifice was like sweet perfume to him.”
There have definitely been times in my life where I have felt that I didn’t deserve Gods love, but yet He still showed it to me. There have been those times where I have messed up, and He still allows me back into his arms. The statement that I am trying to make to you is your going to mess up, your going to feel unworthy, and your even going to struggle at following Jesus. The ultimate question is will you get back up when you fail and follow God’s example?
Living in the light requires us to run to Jesus when we are weak, and when we need help. God doesn’t expect us to be perfect when we follow Him, but He does want us to lean on Him when we fall. The fact of it all is we are going to fail and we are not perfect. By the grace of God we are able to get back up because he promise’s to fill us up with water of life. God is a loving God, and He never wants to see His children fall. He wants to see us become the individual that he created us to be.
Question: Are you leaning on God when you fail? Will you get back up when you fail and follow God?
Father, I thank you for making a light for me to follow. I’m sorry for the times that I do not follow it. Help me follow your ways. You are a perfect example to me, so help me follow you. I know I will mess up from time to time, but father please strengthen me every time I stumble. I need your guidance every day of my life, and I long to see you face to face. You are my grace, peace, and happiness. Lord let me live in your light and be a light that shines bright for you. In Jesus name, Amen.
