Ephesians 6:14-17 reads "Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

‭‭Each person is created for a unique destiny. God has molded you and created you exactly how he wanted to. He has a purpose, and a plan for you. Whether you tap into that destiny is completely on you.

God gives us space to live how we want to. Choices that we make, or do not make can shape our destiny and direction. Circumstances can push us away, or towards our destiny. The bottom line is things might not  go as planned, but we got to let the shaper shape us, and stay on that thin and narrow path that God has for us.

We stay aligned on that pathway by digging relentlessly into Gods heart. God reveals Himself and His plans for our life’s when we push into His heart. Challenge yourself to push into Gods heart, instead of the things that keep you distracted from your purpose. Dig deeper today, this week, this month, and this year to let God move inside and around you.

Prayer: Father, forgive me for letting things and concerns get in the way that all you have planned for me. I know your not done with me and the journey you have me on. Use my life for your will and your way. Plug me into wherever you need me, and want to use my life. Take my life and use it for your glory. In Jesus name. Amen.

Action: Write down, and pray against things that distract you from finding Gods purpose and destiny for your life.

Scripture: Habakkuk 2:3, Psalm 138:8, John 16:33

Matthew 14:27

“But Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

Where are your main concerns? So many times we are concerned about the hustle and bustle that is going on around us. We put our main focus on worrying about family, work, our sports, someone who has hurt you, fiances, fear of the future, or even health related issues.

It seems so hard to put Jesus at the forefront of our life’s at times, but yet it is so easy to do so. When Jesus becomes our main concern we find strength in him, and do not worry about circumstances that are thrown our way. When we do not put Jesus at the front of our minds and concerns it is a totally different story. We then push God to the side, we become helpless, our life is like a whirlwind, and we have no guidance to direct our paths.

Today is an opportunity to make Jesus our main concern and priority. He wants to give you wisdom and understanding that you have never had before. Jesus wants to guide us every step of the way. He will give us space to make decisions, but we have to give Him space to move how He needs too.

Prayer: Father, let me get out of the way today. Move how you need to move in my heart and my mind. Give me courage to trust in you over my concerns and worries. I know I can worry about so many different things, but help me to trust in you and not be afraid. You are my God and I put my life in front of you right now. Jesus move in me. Help me to feel your touch and direction. In Jesus name. Amen.

Scripture: 1 Peter 5:7, Philippians 4:6-7, Matthew 6:33

‭‭James‬ ‭1:17-18‬ ‭

“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.”

‭We are dearly loved. He is our beloved. He stands true for us. He desires relationship with the bruised and beaten. He took the pain for each and everyone of us. He is gracious and good. His name is Jesus. Do you know him? He loves you unconditionally. Waits to hear your voice and loves when he hears you. He adores you, and thinks about you 24/7. You are dearly loved.

God does not stop. His goodness keeps on seeking. Gods goodness seeks us even when we are unseekable. Jesus always gives us the space that we need, but He loves when we respond and take action to draw close to Him. We receive His complete goodness when we open up our heart to commune with Him.

Yes, things may get tough at times, but Gods goodness does not change. It remains the same.

Prayer: Father, show me how to seek your goodness today. Help me to not be distracted by life, but to be distracted by how much you love me and care for me. Pour your goodness over me, so it outpours from my life to others. Let your goodness be what I seek everyday of my life. I need you father. In Jesus name. Amen.

Action: Take a moment to reflect on all the good that God has done in your life, and just say “thank you father.”

Scripture: psalms 84:11, I Chronicles 16:34

Romans 12:4-8

“For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”

God has uniquely molded you into the person you are today. You have characteristics, and traits that no one else has. You may look different, act different, and maybe even function in ways that other people do not. God know’s who He created, and He created you. You are beautifully gifted.

God has gifted you in ways where only you can be used in those ways. Maybe you are gifted with the ability to dance, play a sport, encourage, sing, paint, communicate, heal, or even be a leader. The list can go on and on. Maybe you have multiple gifts. The question is are you letting your gifts be used?

Your gifting’s are from the throne room of Heaven, and God wants to use them. You were gifted for a reason, and you have to open up to the idea that your life has a Heavenly impact. Be willing to open up to the spirit of the living King and let your life be used. Surrender your heart, release your burdens, and ask God to use your life as a reflection of His kingdom.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to be used by you. Help me in the areas where I am insecure and I do not feel like I am enough. Where I lack confidence of having the ability to make an impact. Jesus, I know you have gifted me, and I release my life to be used by your kingdom. Help me to hold nothing back, and even allow You to show me things about myself that I did not know. Jesus thank you for being my Savior. I release my gifting’s to you. In Jesus name. Amen

Action: Take a moment to write down qualities about yourself where God has gifted you, then take a moment to pray for those gifting’s to be used.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12-14

Mark 8:25 states “Then Jesus placed his hands over the man’s eye’s again. As the man stared intently, his sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly.

In this story you can see that Jesus heals a blind man and he does the miraculous. This blind man goes from not seen at all, to seen a little blurry, and then having restoration of his eye sight. A lot of us can relate to what this blind man is going through. Even though we are not physically blind, we are spiritually blind to what God wants to show us.

God wants to open up our spiritual eyes, and make us aware of the things that he can see. There are times when we cannot see at all because we do let him in. There are also times when we can kind of see because we have let him pinch the surface of our lives. Our spiritual eyes are completely opened when we make the decision to let God work through us 24/7. When we give God our lives and absolutely surrender we begin to see how he see’s. He waits to show us just like He showed the blind man in this story.

Prayer: Jesus open my eyes, ears, heart, and mind to see how you see. Jesus help me to chase after you heart continuously to make my life function where it is constantly open to you. I want to be close to you father, but I know that takes my heart being open to you all the time. Help my heart to be open completely to you. In Jesus name amen.

Question & Action: Are your spiritual eyes opened or closed? Ask God to open your eyes to see what he see’s.

Scripture: 1 John 1:9, John 14:6, Romans 12:

Hebrews 6:19-20

19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

An anchor is a stabilizer, and it helps maintain a steady position. Without an anchor things get a little unsteady, or uneasy. An anchor can also be looked at as someone, or something who maintains order, and leads in the right direction.

In football, the quarterback of a team can be looked at as an anchor. The quarterback can maintain order by running, and coordinating the offense correctly and efficiently. When players get out of position, emotions get a little out of wack, or the quarterback see’s something that the opponent is bringing at them; the quarterback can maintain order, and lead in the right direction.

Jesus needs to be your quarterback. He needs to be your anchor to your life. God should be the primary source that stabilizes your life and brings order to it. Without Jesus you should feel a little unsteady, but with Him your life is a lot more in control.

Yes, things may get a little rocky at times. Life occurrence’s may pop up that we do not want to happen, but God is always faithful when the ocean of our life gets a little uneasy. God never runs away from a fight. We back off from Him, but he never backs off from us. God is always ready to be your anchor.

Prayer: Jesus, be my anchor today. I need you to maintain order in my life every second of the day. I understand that I am nothing without you. You are the leader of my life. Father, stabilize my life today, and show me anything that you need to show me today. Help me to hear your voice, and receive whatever you have to offer me today. Jesus, I truly need you to anchor my life.  Keep me connected to your heart and your understanding. In Jesus name. Amen.

Action: Take a moment or second today to take a deep breath, close your eyes, and invite God into whatever you have going on.

Scripture: 1 John 1:5-10, Psalm 62:5-6,  Romans 5:5

Acts 2:44

“And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.”

Our surrounding is a key part of how we grow, and function. Surround yourself with people, and things that will build you up. Community needs to be an essential part of your life even if your an introvert.

It is easy to want to do things alone. Scripture clearly states to function together. Yes, believers can be messy. Believers mess up and struggle, but so did the disciples that hung out with Jesus.

It may be a little tough to surround yourself with other believers, but find ways. Maybe it’s a text chain, or online group that meets weekly. Maybe it’s just plugging ourself into church weekly.  Be intentional on how you surround yourself. Your surroundings can be a key factor on how you grow as a believer.

Jesus, help me to surround myself in a way that will be pleasing too you. Take anything out that doesn’t belong. I want to be closer to you and strength myself for your kingdom. Father bring people into my life that are going to build me up for your name. Jesus help me to get out of my shell, and into what you have for me. I need your help Jesus. In Jesus Holy name. Amen

Action: Find a community group, prayer group, or even a person/mentor that is going to pore into your life for Gods Kingdom.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Mark 1:35

“In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.”

Jesus would constantly unplug himself from everyone and just pray. Jesus knew that in order to fulfill the will of the Father He needed to power up, refocus His thoughts with a Heavenly perspective, and prepare himself for the work He was about to do. Jesus knew that unplugging himself would help Him align His heart with the Fathers heart.

As believers, unplugging ourselves from the world is essential. Finding a quiet place to get lost with God is a must.

Find time to unplug from your agenda, and seek the Fathers heart. Unplug from where the world wants you, and plug yourself into where God wants you. Make a place, and time where it is just you and God. Know one else, and nothing else. God loves to speak to us when we unplug. He loves to give us words of wisdom, guidance, and even a filling of His Holy Spirit.

If we never unplug, it is hard for us to be filled up. Jesus wants to fill us all up everyday, but we have to make room for God in our schedule. Make it a priority to unplug yourself from the world everyday, and get lost with God.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to make room for you today. Help me to find that quiet place with you. Speak to my heart how ever you need to speak to it. I only want your will in my life, and I know my will can get in the way. My time with you is the most important time of my day. I need you to move inside and all around me. Jesus plug my heart into your heart. In Jesus name. Amen

Action: Find a place and time to unplug yourself with God…..

Scripture: John 14:16, Matthew 14:23, Luke 6:12

John 4:14

14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

It is so easy to consume our lives with the things of this world. Actually, that is what satan wants us to do. The enemy wants us to indulge our lives and behaviors in things that do not pertain to the Kingdom of God. As a believer of God, Indulgence of the world can get us off track of what God has lined up and in store for us. The things of this world are all temporary, but eternity is forever.

How do we create an eternal mindset?

We create an eternal mindset by allowing the spirit of God to overflow us. Overflowing happens by softening your heart before the Kings heart. It also happens by taking time out of your busy day, and making room for God to love on you. If we don’t allow God to overflow our cups it is hard to create an eternal mindset. Set away time and space where you can get alone with God, and allow Him to overflow you.

Prayer: Jesus overflow me today. Overflow me where I am feeling empty. I need to be drenched by the power of your love and direction. Lord, I need your spirit and truth all around me. Take my eyes off the things that pull my focus off of you. Overflow me with your heart Jesus, and let that overflowing drench others around me. In Jesus name. Amen.

Today’s Action: Think about things that draw your heart away from the Kingdom. Replace those things that will overflow your cup for the Kingdom. (worship, prayer, drawing, reading, community, etc)

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19, Psalm 23:1-6

Daniel 6:21-22

21 Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! 22 My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

The lions inside the den with Daniel were what you would call “Ferocious.” They could have easily taken Daniels life like that. They were trained to kill, but Daniel understood something. Daniel understood that his God was just as ferocious, so he stood ferocious in his faith knowing that God would win.

Ferocious faith is dangerous. It’s dangerous because it can close the mouths of lions, move mountains, and shoot down the fierce arrows of the enemy. Ferocious faith allows us to see, and experience things from a heavenly perspective, instead of a earthly perspective.

Warriors of Christ stay ferocious in your faith, seek God diligently, pray like your sending sound waves from your mouth directly to heaven, and ask for understanding that comes from the wisdom of the scriptures. Drench yourself in Gods love, and allow yourself to be a reflection of His image. Let His furious love shine through you by the way you follow Him. Be the warrior that God created you to be.

Jesus, strength my faith today. Let me stand ferocious for your Kingdom. Help me to seek after your heart every second of the day. Show me how to heal, pray, understand, and give myself away how you gave yourself away. Let me be the warrior that you created me to be. Release me to do your will, and follow your ways. Let me be the light to those around me that need your sovereign love. Jesus move how you need to move in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

Scripture: Ephesians 6:14-17, Matthew 14:25, 1 Corinthians 16:13

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Direction isn’t always the easiest because are human element loves to get in the way. We love to lean on our understanding, and not God’s understanding. We love to do what we want to do, and forget to follow God’s will.

Trusting in the Lord means us getting out of the way, and digging into the Fathers heart. Search for Gods voice through prayer, and allow Him to speak into your life. Get a journal and jot down what He has to speak to you. Put yourself around people that are going to give wisdom, and encourage God’s direction on your life. Look for words from God through scripture, your quite time with Him, and even through other people. God loves to give hints, pictures, and even visions on the direction of your life. Sometimes all we need to do is be still and know that He is God.

Prayer: Father God, direct me on the path that you have for me. Lead me in your will and not mine. Put the proper people in my life that will direct me in the path that you have for me. Father, I need your guidance. You know my heart and what you created me for. Use my life for your purpose and your Kingdom. In Jesus name. Amen

Scripture: Psalm 32:8, Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28, Isaiah 48:17

1 John 4:18

“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.”

Fear is one of the tactics that the enemy loves to use against us. Fear can cripple us if we let it gain control of our thoughts, emotions, and motives. The enemy loves to overwhelm us with the I can’t or we can’t mentality through the word fear. Fear is one of the greatest obstacles for us as believers.

How do you overcome fear?

You overcome fear by putting your full faith in Jesus and strapping up your armor . Recognize that Jesus and His love conquers all. The enemy is truly scared of Gods love. Satan has no grip on the love of Christ. We need to bind ourselves to Gods love, and not the fear of the world. Stay consumed in Gods heart through a commitment to communicate with Him through all portions of your life daily. Don’t hold back your heart and mind from God. Let Him take full control of the fear that you may be feeling.

Daily Prayer:

God show me how to trust in you when my fear takes grip on me. Lord, I need you. Extinguish my fear with your love. I need your help in understanding, and believing that you can conquer all. You are a good, good father. Break down any walls that say you can’t on them, and replace them with the walls that say God can. Lord, I love you, and I believe that your love conquers all. Thank you Jesus for calling me Child. In Jesus name. Amen.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 31:6, 1 John 4:17, 2 Timothy 1:7

Ephesians 5:15-16
“Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”

Some people get short life’s, and some people get long ones. Life looks different for each individual. People are born with many different characteristics and traits. People look different, talk different, dress different, and even act different. Even though we are different each of us has a purpose to life.

Purpose is found by searching. Searching happens by chasing after the Fathers heart. We search by digging into the gospel, making a daily commitment to connect with the Father through prayer, and putting ourselves around people that are going to push us to get the best out of our life. As we begin to dig into the Father; He begins to leverage our life’s for His Kingdom.

You might not be in the perfect place, but God loves to use your life where you are. You might be exactly where you need to be in life, and sometimes it’s about opening up your heart for your life to be used by God. God might want to use you elsewhere, and sometimes you need to stop and listen to where he is calling. Never stop being used for His Kingdom, and continue to chase after His heart.

Everyday is an opportunity to grow and be used. Use your opportunities to the best of your abilities. You are not promised tomorrow, and today is a day for your life to be used. Let your light shine, and live your life to the fullest.

Daily Prayer:
Lord, let my life bring you glory today. Teach me how to be used by you. Help me to search after your heart, so my life reflects your image. Show me your purpose for my life and let your will be done. In Jesus name. Amen.

Scripture: Acts 20:24, John 6:35,1 John 5:12, John 8:12

At times in my life I have struggled with fear, insecurity, anxiety, depressive type behavior, and anger. It comes and goes. It sucks because I am truly a happy person, I have a huge heart, and I love to be a light  to others. I don’t understand it, but I know it is the enemy trying to draw me away from Gods love, and me being used for the Kingdom of God.

Over the years God has shown me how to cope with it, and I continue to give it back to Him. The Bible say, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

I have learned to take my burdens to the cross. I literally speak it out and say “Jesus take this from me right now, and replace it with more of you.” It is tough for me to lay my burdens down at times, but I know it is what I need to do every time I struggle because I do not want to remain in that place of feeling stuck. It’s a dark and scary place, and I rather remain in the light with Jesus.

Why am I sharing this? I am sharing this because I know there are others out there like me. You may have a few things that are different, but you can take unlimited different things to the cross. You do not have to stay in that place.

God wants to take your burdens away form you. That’s why he sent his son to die for you. You might even think to yourself am I worthy of Gods love. The answer is “Yes You Are.” God is crazy about you, and will always be crazy about you. He just wants us to continue to run back into His arms, so we can feel his rest and light pour into us.

Prayer to Pray: Jesus my burdens are yours. Take them from me, and pour your light into me. I lay my junk at the cross Father. Make me more like you, and cleanse me from the inside out. I need you father. In Jesus name. Amen.

“Alive In Jesus”

Colossians 3:1-4

“3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”

For a lot of my life it took me a while to understand how I am made alive in Jesus. Sitting here today I don’t know all the answers, I have made many mistakes, I am sinner, but I am alive in Christ. I understand that He died for me, He resurrected for me, and His Holy Spirit lives deep inside of me. I am his and he is mine. I have had many moments when I have felt his presence, and he has worked through me. There have also been those moments when the enemy has attacked me, and I have wanted to pull away from God. No matter how far I may pull away God always rails me back in.

Spiritual warfare is very strong, and it is very real. The enemy is constantly trying to lure you into his motives. The enemy wants divorces to happen, people to become addicted to drugs, lustful addictions, anger to take place, people to become wrapped up in the party scenes, the spirit of mammon to take over, and for us to be drawn as far away from God as we can. The enemy is a liar and a thief, and the real light is within Jesus Christ.

To be honest I have seen to much to pick the enemies side. I know that the truth is in Jesus, and He conquered sin so we can have new life. Jesus conquered sin, so we can be a light in the darkness, and we can stand up against the powers of the enemy. He took the most crucial punishment that any one could ever take. He was bruised and beaten, but in the end he came out victorious. How do I know this because I know Him.

We have the opportunity to have a relationship and be made alive with a very real God who absolutely adores us. We experience grace because grace was given to us through the cross. You have the option to be made alive in Christ and risen with him. It just comes down to a choice. Do you want God in your life? Are you ready to be made “Alive in Jesus.”

Question: Are you ready to give your life completely over to the Lord understanding that you still might fail? Do you understand that His grace is enough, and He just wants intimate relationship with you? Speak to him, and tell him. He loves hearing your voice and is waiting for your response.

Prayer to Accept Jesus:

Jesus thank you for the cross. Forgive me for putting other things first before you. Jesus make me alive in you today. I need you. I can’t do this alone. I believe that you died for me to make me alive. Pour your spirit over me today, and move in my life. I accept you into my heart today, and thank you for being my God. Let my journey begin with you today. In Jesus name. Amen.
