Ephesians 6:14-17 reads "Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

Overflow

John 4:14

14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

It is so easy to consume our lives with the things of this world. Actually, that is what satan wants us to do. The enemy wants us to indulge our lives and behaviors in things that do not pertain to the Kingdom of God. As a believer of God, Indulgence of the world can get us off track of what God has lined up and in store for us. The things of this world are all temporary, but eternity is forever.

How do we create an eternal mindset?

We create an eternal mindset by allowing the spirit of God to overflow us. Overflowing happens by softening your heart before the Kings heart. It also happens by taking time out of your busy day, and making room for God to love on you. If we don’t allow God to overflow our cups it is hard to create an eternal mindset. Set away time and space where you can get alone with God, and allow Him to overflow you.

Prayer: Jesus overflow me today. Overflow me where I am feeling empty. I need to be drenched by the power of your love and direction. Lord, I need your spirit and truth all around me. Take my eyes off the things that pull my focus off of you. Overflow me with your heart Jesus, and let that overflowing drench others around me. In Jesus name. Amen.

Today’s Action: Think about things that draw your heart away from the Kingdom. Replace those things that will overflow your cup for the Kingdom. (worship, prayer, drawing, reading, community, etc)

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19, Psalm 23:1-6
